Outokumpu Connect – Combining eSales and eServices on one platform

In an increasingly digital world, customers expect simple, transparent, and efficient ways to do business. With Outokumpu Connect, Outokumpu combines eSales and eServices on a single platform — enabling customers to manage their stainless steel transactions digitally and seamlessly.

Outokumpu serves a wide range of industries – from automotive, consumer goods, and construction to metalworking and distribution.

Since the go-live of Outokumpu Connect in January 2023, all European flat stainless steel service centers, as well as the mills in Krefeld, Dillenburg, and Avesta, have been integrated. Our mills in Tornio (Finland) and Terneuzen (Netherlands) will follow in 2026.

Outokumpu Connect provides customers with 24/7 access to:
  • Stock availabilities across all European CSC locations
  • Real-time prices and lead-time information
  • Spot ordering for sheets, coils or slit strips, including cutting and slitting options
  • Contract management (call-off, stock overview)
  • Documents, such as invoices, delivery notes and certificates
  • Order, delivery & invoice status information
The spot functionality allows customers to place orders with any service center — even those you not purchased from before. This creates new supply opportunities and improves service flexibility.

 

Beyond Transactions – Enhancing Customer Service

Outokumpu Connect also enhances customer service beyond order placement. Customers can track the status of their orders, deliveries and invoices — not only for online orders but also for those orders placed offline.

“We want every customer, regardless of their digital maturity, to benefit from our platform.”

Most invoices and delivery notes are already available digitally. The integration of certificates will be completed shortly.

 

Multilingual, sustainable and future-oriented

Outokumpu Connect is available in five languages – English, German, French, Italian and Polish.

As the global leader in sustainable stainless steel, Outokumpu integrates sustainability into its digital ecosystem, each product listing includes its carbon footprint. Besides that, also the Circle Green low-emission products are available for purchase directly through the platform.
