Die Ultra-Kategorie umfasst unsere Hauptprodukte Ultra Alloy 825 (EN 2.4858), Ultra 904L (EN 1.4539) und Ultra 254 SMO (EN 1.4547) sowie mehrere Alternativen, darunter den korrosionsbeständigsten Edelstahl der Welt, Ultra 654 SMO (EN 1.4652), für Ihre ganz speziellen Anwendungen.
Die Ultra-Kategorie ist die beste Wahl, wenn Sie Material für extrem korrosive Umgebungen benötigen, in denen Standard-Edelstahlgüten wie Core 304L/4307 oder Supra 316L/4404 nicht ausreichen, um die Korrosionsanforderungen Ihrer Anwendung zu erfüllen.
Die Edelstähle der Ultra-Kategorie weisen nicht nur eine hervorragende Korrosionsbeständigkeit auf, auch die Festigkeits- und Dehnungseigenschaften der Ultra-Kategorie sind im Vergleich zu herkömmlichen austenitischen Edelstählen ähnlich oder besser. Der Zusatz von Stickstoff zu Güten der Ultra-Kategorie wie etwa Ultra 254 SMO verleiht ihnen eine höhere Streckgrenze und Zugfestigkeit. Trotz der höheren Festigkeit dieser Stähle bieten sie sehr gute Möglichkeiten sowohl für die Kaltverformung als auch für die Warmumformung. Stähle der Ultra-Kategorie eignen sich gut zum Schweißen, und die für das Schweißen herkömmlicher austenitischer Stähle verwendeten Verfahren können auch für diese Produkte angewendet werden.

Ultra Alloy 825 ist eine Ti-stabilisierte austenitische Nickelbasislegierung, die in der Öl- und Gasindustrie in Rohrleitungssystemen, Erdölraffinerieanlagen und Sauergasanlagen verwendet wird. Ultra 904L wird in Ausrüstungen der petrochemischen Industrie wie Rohren, Wärmetauschern, Tanks und Reaktorbehältern verwendet. Ultra 254 SMO eignet sich für Anwendungen, die eine Beständigkeit gegen chloriertes Meerwasser erfordern, für die Rauchgasreinigung, die Reinigung von Schiffsabgasen sowie für Bleichanlagen in der Zellstoff- und Papierindustrie und für Flansche und Ventile.
